I am delighted to address you as the Managing Director of Toyota Tsusho Australasia Pty Ltd. The year 2020 brought about profound changes in our lives and working styles due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, economic activities are gradually returning to pre-pandemic levels, despite the persistent geopolitical risks and uncertainties in the global economy. Rising energy prices, supply shortages, and geopolitical conflicts, such as the tensions between Russia and Ukraine, have added to the complexity of the business landscape.
Yet, amidst these challenges, we perceive the changing landscape as an opportunity rather than a risk. We find ourselves at a pivotal moment, poised to ascend to "the next new stage" and embrace new challenges. Our commitment lies in establishing unique business domains and driving innovation through our three key strategies: the "Next Mobility Strategy," "Renewable Energy Strategy," "Circular Economy Strategy," Aligned with our Key Sustainability Issues, carbon neutrality and circular economy form the foundation of our business approach.
